Cheap but poor quality
Review by Graham on 4 Sep 2025 review stating Cheap but poor quality
These score tubes are nice and clear and more cost effective than the rotary boards. However, the manufacturer could improve them easily in several ways. 1) The “V H†stickers on both sides mean that the score changes depending which side you view it from. One needs to be “H Vâ€. Easily fixed with a packing knife and resticking the letters in reverse - but poor design. 2) The holes that are presumably intended to take the supplied hooks are too small for the hooks. 3) The holes are too near the top of the tube so even if you made them larger diameter the hooks would not fit properly. The score tubes need some rework before they’re ready to use. I drilled a new pair of holes at 90 degrees to the existing ones and fed a piece of cord through the new holes (a knitting needle will help). Then closed the hooks up in a vice so they have one closed loop then fed them onto the cord and tied it. That way you can hang the tube on a fence, it will face the court and can be viewed (correctly) from both the court and the spectator area. And the hooks can’t fall off. Didn’t really expect to have to finish them myself so disappointing quality.
